About
Kathy’s Pawsome Retreats offers home-from-home dog boarding services in the Wickford vicinity and within a 10-mile radius. I am an experienced dog owner offering an alternative option to boarding kennels. I am fully licensed, insured, first aid trained and hold an Ofqual Level 3 qualification in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare.

Your dog(s) is invited to stay in our home living as part of our family whilst you are away. They will receive daily walks, be able to get involved with enrichment activities and will have regular access to our private garden - all of which promote vital mental and physical wellbeing. In the evenings they can snuggle up with us in our living room, which has a log fire for the colder months.
Please note we have a dog of our own so any guests must get on well with other dogs, which will be determined during a meet and greet at no extra charge. I will consider well behaved and house-trained dogs of all ages.....so if you would like to get in touch my contact details can be found below.
Be warned - I love taking photos, so if you want updates on how your furry family member is getting on this can certainly be arranged.
2023 (please also note the change in rates for 2024 outlined below)

First dog - Standard rate £30 per day (+ £10 on Bank Holiday dates)

Additional dogs from the same household - Standard rate £20 per day (+ £10 on Bank Holiday dates)

The above standard rates apply to weekends also - there are no additional charges

Prices are per calendar day

As of 15/04/2023, the drop off or collection day will be discounted in line with the following criteria (this is for new bookings received from this date onwards);

If your dog(s) arrives from 3pm the daily rate will be discounted by 50% for that day

If your dog(s) is collected prior to 1pm the daily rate will be discounted by 50% for that day

Note: The discount can only be applied to the arrival day or the collection day but not both. This is per booking

Drop off and collection times can be discussed at the point of booking

A 25% deposit is payable on booking

The balance of fees arising must be received by us no later than 7 days prior to the commencement of services

We will provide all required information and documentation, including the Terms & Conditions, upon receipt of a booking request that has been accepted (subject to the meet and greet trial)
2024

Please note there will be a price increase for any bookings received that fall into 2024 onwards. The new daily rate will be £35 for one dog and £25 for additional dogs from the same household. All other rates/discounts outlined above will remain the same
